About Sustainable Management of Ayunosato

We are aiming for management where we can value everything related to us, including our customers, hotel staff, business partners, local communities and resources of Hitoyoshi and Kuma, and where we can continue to contribute to people’s health, community and society, and environmental protection. In addition, we are working on revitalizing the economy of the region centered on tourism and leave it as an attractive area for living for future generation of Hitoyoshi Kuma.

【Environmental Protection】

We have lived in harmony with nature all the time.
And continuing to do this from now on.
Since 2020, we are more committed to conserving resources than ever before. By eliminating plastic from using straws, chopsticks, PET bottles, etc., we are promoting the separation and reduction of garbage, the reduction of food loss, and the introduction of environmentally friendly equipment. In addition, we value the local culture that we have lived with, and provide seasonal ingredients grown in it. These efforts also take into consideration the environmental impact of transportation.

・Reduction and sorting of garbage:4R, paperless, utilization of cloud system, use of eco-friendly chopsticks and paper straws
・Reduction of food loss:abolition of buffet style and serving dishes (serving individually?), menu considering appropriate amount, control of proper food purchase
・Reduction of food mileage (working on local production for local consumption):Purchasing from the region / Southern Kyushu area and developing a local production for local consumption menu
・Waste of plastic:Paper straws and ECO amenities are used, abolition of PET bottles in the guest room and provided in cold water pots, eco-bags, my bottles are recommended.
・Water management:Appropriate sewage treatment and water saving of sanitary facilities
・Energy saving and greenhouse gas emission control:LED in the building, introduction of power saving system, setting up of rental cycle, guidance for energy saving to hotel staff, understanding of energy consumption and setting of targets for reduction

We are among those who love the rich nature of region.
As a members of Hitoyoshi and Kuma, we are actively involved in the local community. Under our vision of “Discover HITOYOSHI,” we are contributing to the development of the community by increasing exchanges with visitors of the region while preserving the nature that has been cultivated so far.

・Dissemination of local attractions:To become a platform for enjoying Hitoyoshi to the maximum, all hotel staff will disseminate tourist information on Hitoyoshi and Kuma, and introduce local shops, restaurants, facilities, etc.
